For the class and whatever comes after

Ten o’clock, class is over and the market’s still open: yoga clothes for women should manage more than sixty minutes on the mat.

What there is

For your legs there are leggings, pants and shorts; on top, sports bras, bustiers, tops, T-shirts and long sleeves. The leggings are close-fitting and hold, the pants are wide and stay on after class, the shorts are for warm days. On top, it goes from a bustier to a sleeveless top to a long sleeve for cold mornings. None of it needs to look like sportswear, but all of it has to stay put when you fold forward or go upside down.

Mat, training, everyday

On the mat, nothing should slip or pull. In training it can take a bit more, and the rest of the day it shouldn’t look like you’ve come from the gym. Gym clothes for women usually only have to do one of those jobs; ours try to do all three without a trip back to the wardrobe. How much support, how much fabric and how much leg is up to your practice: close-fitting for dynamic sessions, loose for slow ones.

Colour, tie-dye, hand-dyed

Besides black there are greens and blues, gradients and tie-dye. Hand-dyed pieces are one-offs in the sense that the pattern happens in the dye and no two come out exactly the same. Good yoga clothes, for us, are the ones you don’t take straight off after class.

What they’re made of

Organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers; TENCEL™ Lyocell blended with organic cotton; and hemp blended with TENCEL™ Lyocell. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are naturally soft and smooth to the touch. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers support a natural dry feeling through moisture control. Hemp grows without synthetic pesticides or artificial irrigation. Each product page lists the exact material. Everything is made in Portugal.

Size and care

The size chart on each product has the measurements. If you’re between sizes, decide whether you like it close or loose. Wash at 30 °C and air dry. Our leggings, women’s yoga pants, bras and tops each have their own page.

Women – Frequently asked questions

What should I wear to yoga?
Something that stays put when you stretch, fold and go upside down, and doesn’t pull. For most people, leggings or pants with a waistband that holds and a top or shirt that doesn’t ride up are enough.

What's the difference between yoga clothes and sportswear?
Yoga clothes have to move with you through stretches, folds and inversions without slipping or pulling. Clothes for running or lifting have other priorities. With ours there’s a lot of overlap: most pieces do both.

What are the clothes made of?
Depending on the piece: organic cotton, TENCEL™ Lyocell with organic cotton, or hemp with TENCEL™ Lyocell. Each product page lists the exact material.

Which size should I take?
The size chart on each product has the measurements. If you’re between sizes, go up for a looser fit and down for a closer one.

Can I wear yoga clothes every day?
Yes. Pants, T-shirts and long sleeves don’t look like sportswear and go with jeans, under a jacket or on their own.

How do I care for my yoga clothes?
Wash at 30 °C and air dry – not in the tumble dryer.
